Today I thought I would teach you all how to make these adorable horse treats shaped like pop tarts! Now these do have some sugar in them, so limit your pony to a few a week 🙂

Ingredients for base:
- 2 cups flour
- 3/4 cup molasses
- 1/4 cup oats
- 1/4 shredded carrot
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- water
Steps:
- preheat oven to 325* F
- combine all ingredients until dough forms
- add water if needed
- roll dough on floured surface with rolling pin until 1/6in thick
- cut into rectangles of desired size
- use fork to make indents around edge of rectangle
- place on greased cookie sheet
- bake in oven for 14 minutes
- let cool for 5 minutes before removing from pan
Ingredients for frosting:
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon water
- sprinkles (optional)
- food dye (optional)
- other candy decorations

Steps:
- mix powdered sugar and water
- add more water or powdered sugar until desired thickness is achieved (the thicker the better)
- add food dye if desired
- place frosting in piping back
- frost pop tarts
- sprinkle pop tarts if desired
- let sit for 45min-1hour or place in freezer to allow frosting to harden
